MOVEMENT While studying under Ernst Haas in the late 1970's, I became fascinated with the challenge of photographing moving subjects to create photographs that blur the lines between photography and painting. Since then, I have sought to create images that are painterly and impressionistic, whether I am photographing at home in NC or in Vermont, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, or near Ellesmere Island north of the Arctic Circle.
